Every year, several banking exams are held by official banking organizations to recruit eligible candidates for specific posts. Public sector banking institutions recruit candidates for IBPS, SBI, and RBI for clerical and officer positions. These exams are conducted annually.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts the IBPS RRB Exam to recruit candidates for various managerial and office assistant posts at several Regional Rural Banks (RRB) in India. In rural and semi-urban areas, regular banks may not be able to provide a full range of service. This is where Regional Rural Banks step in to fill in the void.

The IBPS RRB PO or the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I exam is conducted to appoint candidates at Officer post in the various Regional Rural Banks of the country. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is the conducting body for all IBPS exams including the IBPS RRB PO exam.

The IBPS RRB Clerk exam is conducted to recruit candidates at the post of Office Assistant, who will form the backbone of the day-to-day activities, in the various Regional Rural Banks of the country. The IBPS RRB exam is an annually conducted exam and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is the conducting body for the same.
